Ingredients:
2 cups milk
3 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp butter
pinch salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/3 cup raisinsDirections:
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, rice, sugar, butter, and salt. Heat, stirring often, until tiny bubbles form around the edge.
- Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour or until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, nutmeg, and raisins. Serve warm or chilled.
